We need to think bigger: with an elegant bridge over the lake just before the city limits, drivers can be guided around the city and Bellevue will become as quiet as Wiedikon after the construction of the Uetliberg tunnel.

An elegant bridge before the city limits would impair ship traffic and sustainably disturb the lake's appearance. The Uetliberg tunnel has set the standard: if anything, the lake should be tunneled under.

I agree, a bridge with heavy traffic also seems less suitable to me than a tunnel.
